Yea, I added one per bolt today before I took it in to t&t tire (on so. tac way)... they guy was realy impressed with how close we had it already, but they aligned it and got it set.

Back on topic (somewhat): I shoulda taken a peek at my exhaust while I was under the Sol torquing the bolts but it was getting a little late and Mrs. Geo had dinner waiting her crew. Anyhow, you all got to hear how loud the bugger is. To me it seems to sound like a leak before the 'Silence' (hah, yeah...right) muffler but I wonder what you guys thought. Did it seem like the noise was coming out the exhaust tip to you?
If I need a new exhaust, what brand do you think is a good bolt-on system/name? I'm thinking more of a stock or quieter note and really not rice/performance per se. And no humungous 'fart pipe' out the back either.
Look into a DOHC VTEC system, it's bigger then the Si's and it's all stainless steel (no rust). It's prefect for a N/A car and quiet too, with little or no loss of bottom end like the aftermarket ones because of the size. Something to think about anyways. O and it bolts right up with no changes, the only other change you may want is to change the cat to a DOHC VTEC one (free'r flowing then the S or Si one.

well i dont know of any aftermarket exhausts that are cheap, straight bolt on, and sound decent at the same time. I've done an oil change on this 01+ civic ex that had a flowmaster muffler and custom piping that sounded REALLY nice. VERY deep toned. i couldn't tell you how it sounded at higher rpms since i'm only in a small parking lot while moving these cars and its a customer's car so i dont get to have too much fun with the cars. But, all n all, to get one put on, i dont see it costing too much more than $200 if even that. Another name brand to keep in mind would be magnaflow and flowmaster. I'm not entirely too much of a fan of stock mufflers. they just give me enough of a grumble and i figure, if imma spend money on replacing a part of my sol, i might as well upgrade right?
Oh Geo, you should be a magnet for screwdrivers. You should have an extra Craftsman #2 philips in your tool chest somewhere. I'm pretty sure I last saw it on the garage floor near your floor standing tool chest. Please don't bend that into an S and I will pick it up at the next meet or something.
